Los Carneros
American Viticultural AreaEstablished 1983
Los Carneros is a California AVA established in 1983 under 27 CFR Part 9, spanning the southern portions of both Napa and Sonoma counties along the northern shore of San Pablo Bay. The appellation's low, rolling hills receive persistent cool winds and fog from the bay, creating growing conditions well-suited to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. COLA filings appear from both county-affiliated producers under this designation.
